The Differences Between the Axkid Minikid 2 and Move
Posted by Margaret Bolt on
Whenever I post about the Axkid Move or Minikid 2, people always ask what the differences are, so I just thought I’d make a little list:
1. TETHER STRAPS
The Move’s tether straps have to be pulled tight by hand.
The Minikid has self tightening straps that tighten when you wiggle the seat.
2. HEADREST AND HARNESS HEIGHT
The Move’s headrest and harness have three positions that need to be re-threaded to change the height.
The Minikid’s headrest is lowered when you pull the strap to tighten the harness. It never needs to be re-threaded and adjusts automatically to the child’s height.
3. HEADREST POSITION
The Move's headrest is clipped into the backrest.
The Minikid’s sits a bit further back in the backrest to allow it to slide up and down.
4. RECLINE MECHANISM
The Move has a recline foot that folds out to recline the seat.
The Minikid has a recline bar which has four positions. Although realistically you’ll probably only use the most reclined one.
5. COLOURS
The Move is only available in black and grey, and the Minikid comes in a choice of four solid colours and two premium ones.
